Sky: Ødegaard open to Bayern move as Arsenal push for new deal

📰 According to Sky Sport, Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard is open to a future move to Bayern Munich. 📌 Key points 🔴 Ødegaard's Arsenal contract runs until 2028. 🤝 Arsenal have held initial informal talks over an early extension. 💸 Without a deal, Arsenal would reportedly consider selling next summer. 🔍 Bayern have been in contact with his camp over several years. ⏸️ But he is not currently one of Bayern's priority targets. 📝 What happened 📺 Sky Sport's Florian Plettenberg reported on 29 October that Ødegaard can in principle imagine moving to Bayern in the future. There is no on-record comment from the player. 🤝 Arsenal want to avoid him entering the final year of his deal and leaving for free in 2028, and have already had initial informal talks. Sky said Arsenal would consider a sale next summer if no agreement is reached. Other top European clubs have also made enquiries. 🔍 Bayern and Ødegaard's camp have been in contact in recent years, but no move has materialised. According to Sky, Bayern see no concrete need to act at present and he is not on their list of priority targets. 🏆 Ødegaard joined Arsenal permanently from Real Madrid in summer 2021 for around €35 million. He has since made 248 competitive appearances with 46 goals and 47 assists, and won the Premier League last season. 📊 By the numbers • Age: 27 • Arsenal record: 248 games, 46 goals, 47 assists • 2021 fee: around €35 million • Contract ends: 2028 🔭 Why it matters A report that the Arsenal captain is open to leaving adds weight to his contract talks. With Bayern reportedly not planning to move now, a transfer looks unlikely for the time being. The key question is whether Arsenal can tie him down before next summer.
