Bayern linked with €80m January Olmo bid, but German reports doubt it

📰 According to Sport, Bayern Munich are preparing an €80m bid for Dani Olmo in January – but other reports deny any serious interest. 📌 Key points 🗞️ Sport reports that Bayern want to sign Olmo in January. 💰 The figure mentioned is around €80m. 📝 Olmo is under contract at Barcelona until 2030. 🙅 Bild's Christian Falk says Bayern are not seriously interested. 📝 What happened 🗞️ According to Spanish outlet Sport, Bayern have identified Olmo as a winter target after missing out on key players in the summer, and are preparing an offer of around €80m. Sky Sports had earlier reported that Bayern were "lining up" a January move, while Sports Illustrated put Barça's asking price at around €70m. 🔁 The interest has history. Olmo spent four and a half seasons at RB Leipzig, and Bayern have tracked him since then. His limited starts under Hansi Flick have added fuel to the speculation. 🙅 There is also a denial. Sport Bild's Christian Falk, citing a source inside the club, reported that Olmo is not a serious option for Bayern, although his name could come up if Michael Olise does not sign a new deal and is sold. 🧾 Barça regard Olmo as non-transferable, though an offer of €80m would reportedly force a board discussion. With his contract running to 2030, the club hold the cards. 📊 By the numbers • Reported bid: around €80m (Sport) • Barça's reported asking price: around €70m (SI) • Olmo's contract: until 2030 ⚠️ This article summarises media reports; nothing has been confirmed. 🔭 Why it matters Having struggled even to register Olmo under financial rules, Barça would find a big fee tempting. But given Fermín López's injury record, selling Olmo would thin out midfield. His minutes against PSG and in El Clásico on 25 October will show where he stands.
