Unbeaten Everton visit Hull as Mykolenko injury causes concern

📰 Unbeaten Everton go to promoted Hull City with a problem at left-back. 📌 Key points 🏟️ Round six takes Everton to Hull's MKM Stadium on Sunday 11 October. 🛡️ Everton are unbeaten with two wins and three draws, conceding three. 🩹 Left-back Vitalii Mykolenko returned injured from international duty. 🆕 Christian Nørgaard is back in training after a groin injury. 📈 Promoted Hull are flying in eighth on eight points. 📝 What happened 🛡️ David Moyes's Everton have taken nine points from five games with two wins and three draws. They are unbeaten in all competitions and have let in just three league goals. 🩹 Mykolenko, who has played every league minute this season, was sent back from the Ukraine squad with an injury. Ukraine's coach said they could not count on him and did not want to risk a more serious injury. 🔄 With Adam Aznou out on loan, Everton lack a natural back-up at left-back. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, James Garner or a shift for Jake O'Brien or Jarrad Branthwaite are the options. 🆕 Nørgaard, the 32-year-old midfielder signed from Arsenal for £7m in the summer, has yet to play a competitive game because of a groin injury. He has returned to first-team training, and Moyes called his return "hugely important". 📊 By the numbers • Everton: 9 points (W2 D3), 3 league goals conceded in five • Hull City: 8th, 8 points (W2 D2 L1) • Nørgaard's fee: £7m 👀 What to watch 🩹 Mykolenko's absence — Losing him would remove a key part of Everton's tight defence. Who Moyes picks at left-back is the first big call. 🆕 Nørgaard's debut — He is more likely to come off the bench than start, but would add experience in midfield. 📈 Hull's surge — Promoted Hull have lost just once in five and sit eighth. Beating an unbeaten side at home would push them on again. 🔭 Why it matters A win keeps Everton in the race near the top, while Hull face their biggest test since promotion. Kick-off is 2pm local time on Sunday 11 October.
