Juve reportedly ready to sell Koopmeiners, Everton and Newcastle keen

📰 According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus could put Teun Koopmeiners on the market in January. 📌 Key points 🗞️ Gazzetta says Juve are open to letting Koopmeiners leave in January. 💰 They need around €26m to avoid a loss on the books. 🔎 Everton and Newcastle are among the clubs reported to be interested. 🧢 Luciano Spalletti is still not satisfied with his attitude on the pitch. 📝 What happened 💸 Koopmeiners joined Juventus from Atalanta for around €59m in summer 2024, but failed to convince under Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor. 🗞️ According to Gazzetta, Juve are weighing up a sale or loan in January. With a book value of about €31m at 30 June 2026, a January sale would need to bring in at least around €26m to avoid a capital loss. 🔎 Everton and Newcastle have been mentioned as suitors. A GOAL summary of the Gazzetta report also lists Galatasaray, Manchester United and Monaco as loan options, with Beşiktaş and Middle Eastern clubs interested in a permanent deal. 🧢 Under Spalletti, injuries have earned him more minutes, including spells at centre-back. He has one goal and one assist in six games this season, but the coach and club still question his body language and commitment to the project, according to the report. 📊 By the numbers • 2024 fee: around €59m • Break-even price: around €26m • This season: 6 games, 1 goal, 1 assist ⚠️ This article summarises media reports; nothing has been confirmed. 🔭 Why it matters With Juventus under financial pressure, including lost Champions League income, offloading players without a book loss matters. Koopmeiners' future could be the first move in a January midfield reshuffle – but only real offers will tell.
