Bottom club Fulham reportedly give Arbeloa two games to save job
Post
๐ฐ Still without a league win, Fulham have reportedly put รlvaro Arbeloa on a two-game deadline.
๐ Key points
โณ The Standard reports Arbeloa has two games to save his job.
๐ฏ Failing to beat either Hull or Coventry could see him removed.
๐ Fulham are bottom with two points from six games (D2 L4).
๐ They led at Ipswich before conceding twice late to lose.
๐ค Club sources earlier said it was "far too soon to judge" him.
๐ What happened
โณ According to The Standard, cited by Sports Mole and the Mirror, Fulham's hierarchy will judge the 43-year-old on the next two matches, both against newly promoted sides: Hull City and Coventry City.
๐ Fulham led at Ipswich through Ryan Sessegnon on 10 October but conceded twice late to lose 2-1. Since a 3-2 opening-day defeat by Chelsea, they have gone six league games without a win. Draws with Liverpool and Manchester United and a 3-2 League Cup win at West Ham are the bright spots.
๐ค Flashscore, however, had earlier quoted club sources saying it was "far too soon to judge" Arbeloa and that his job was not in immediate danger, with January backing for a defender possible if results improve.
๐ช๐ธ The former Real Madrid defender replaced Marco Silva in July.
๐ By the numbers
