Kessié opened the scoring on four minutes, lobbing goalkeeper Filip Stanković after he came off his line. Two minutes later Krstović headed in an Elmas corner, and on 30 minutes he tapped in after Jonathan Rowe's shot was saved. 🔄 After three straight league defeats, Sarri said time was no longer an excuse and moved to a 4-2-3-1 with Charles De Ketelaere behind Krstović. The attack came alive, with Atalanta putting 11 of their 22 shots on target. 😬 The finish was less tidy. Antoine Hainaut pulled one back for Venezia on 37 minutes, and the visitors hit the woodwork twice after the break. On 67 minutes Scalvini, who had played every minute of the league season, and Bellanova both came off with muscle problems. On 89 minutes Elmas's yellow card was upgraded to a straight red after a VAR review. 🗣️ Sarri praised Kessié: "He's a lad with great personality, and you could see that on the pitch." The former Milan midfielder said he was "always ready" for his return to San Siro. 📊 By the numbers • 3-0 inside 30 minutes (Kessié 4', Krstović 6', 30') • Shots 22-19, on target 11-4 • Three-game league losing run ended 🔭 Why it matters Sarri's shaky start finally has some relief.
