A muscle injury days before the opening weekend means he has yet to make a competitive appearance, and new head coach Andoni Iraola left him out of the Champions League league-phase squad. According to GOAL, he was due to return to group training in the first week of October. 🪑 Even when fit, competition is fierce, with Barcola, Gakpo and Wirtz among those ahead of him. GOAL reports he has 18 months left on his contract and that Liverpool hope to sell for at least €15m in January. 🇮🇹 He has also been left out of recent Italy squads; his last cap came at Euro 2024.
