Tresoldi hat-trick stuns San Siro as Inter lose 4-3 to Club Brugge

📰 Inter lost 4-3 to Club Brugge at San Siro after Nicolò Tresoldi scored a hat-trick. 📌 Key points ⚽ Inter were beaten 4-3 by Brugge at San Siro on 13 October. 🎩 Tresoldi scored in the 30th, 63rd and 74th minutes. 🔥 Lautaro scored twice and Bonny added a late goal, but it was not enough. 📉 Two Champions League defeats, and seven in their last eight. 🎙️ Chivu said he must be the first to take responsibility. 📝 What happened 🏟️ Hakan Çalhanoğlu fouled Carlos Forbs in the 30th minute and Tresoldi scored the penalty. Lautaro Martínez levelled in the 44th minute to make it 1-1 at the break. 😱 Inter missed two big chances early in the second half and then fell apart. Tresoldi scored again in the 63rd minute and completed his hat-trick in the 74th, reacting first after Josep Martínez parried Forbs' shot. Lautaro pulled one back in the 81st, but Romeo Vermant made it 4-2 in the 87th. Bonny's curler in the 93rd minute was only a consolation. 🎙️ Chivu told Sky Sport Italia that "a little frustration set in, we got frenetic, lost our balance and then from the 2-1 it all went wrong." He added: "I couldn't say it's not worrying" and "I must be the first to take responsibility, because perhaps I cannot find the right balance." 🙏 He still urged belief: "We must also keep the faith, because there are another six to go." 📊 By the numbers • Inter have lost seven of their last eight Champions League games • Four straight Champions League defeats, including both play-off legs against Bodø/Glimt last season • 14 goals conceded in eight Serie A and Champions League games this season 🔭 Why it matters Inter missed direct qualification for the last 16 by one point last season, and have started this league phase with no points from two games. Chivu said both the tactical and the mental side need work. Inter go to Bologna on 17 October looking for a response.
