Fourth-placed Cagliari host Juventus as Juve begin seven-game run

📰 Cagliari and Juventus, separated by two points, meet in Sardinia on 11 October. 📌 Key points 🏝️ Cagliari are fourth on 12 points with four wins from five. ⚪ Juventus are two points behind on 10. 🩹 Juve travel without Yildiz, Locatelli, Grabara and Thuram. ✅ Alajbegovic is back in training and expected to be available. 📅 Juventus now face seven games in 20 days. 📝 What happened 🔥 Fabio Pisacane's Cagliari have won four of their first five, dropping points only against Inter, and beat Udinese 1-0 before the break. ⚖️ Luciano Spalletti's Juventus have been inconsistent, drawing with Milan and losing to Sassuolo but beating Atalanta and NEC in the Europa League. 🏥 Juve's injury list is long: Yildiz has a fractured metatarsal and is out until December or January, captain Locatelli faces five to six months after meniscus surgery, and Grabara's season is over with a ruptured cruciate. Thuram is still in rehab. 🔙 Alajbegovic, hurt on international duty, rejoined the group after further checks, while Conceição, Nico González and Lucumí are returning from their national teams. 📊 By the numbers • Cagliari: four wins from five, 12 points (fourth) • Juventus: 10 points, two behind Cagliari • Juventus: seven games in the next 20 days 👀 What to watch 🏟️ Cagliari's surge — Beating Juventus at home would confirm them as genuine top-four contenders. Only Inter have beaten them. 🩹 Juve's resilience — With key players missing, can Alajbegovic's return lift the attack? 🧑‍⚖️ The officials — Matteo Marcenaro referees, with Camplone on VAR. 📅 First of seven — Celta Vigo in the Europa League and Lazio follow, so a good start matters. 🔭 Why it matters A Juventus win would pull them level with Cagliari and back into the top-four picture; defeat would leave them further adrift. Kick-off is on 11 October at the Unipol Domus.
