Winless Spurs head to Marbella; De Zerbi: 'We are not a team yet'

📰 Still searching for a first win, Spurs have gone to Marbella to work on becoming a team. 📌 Key points ✈️ Tottenham have set up a training camp in Marbella, Spain. 🗣️ De Zerbi: "We are a great group of players, but we are not a team yet." 🤝 He said a team plays for team-mates and suffers together. 🔄 He wants substitutes to play as if they started. 📅 Next up is Coventry at home on 19 October. 📝 What happened ✈️ With nine days between the United game and their next fixture, Spurs flew to Marbella. With many new signings, the camp is about cohesion and unity. 🗣️ "Now the target is to build the team, not the group of the players," De Zerbi said. "We are a great group of players, but we are not a team yet. To be a team is to play for the team-mates, suffer together, attack together, defend together." 🛡️ He pointed to the draw at Old Trafford on 10 October. Spurs fell behind to Bryan Mbeumo on 73 minutes and lost Rodrigo Bentancur to a red card five minutes later, but Dominic Solanke headed a 92nd-minute equaliser, his first goal of the season in his first game as captain. "This game, we show to be a team," De Zerbi said. 🔄 He added that players coming on for the last five or three minutes, like Mateus Fernandes, "have to play like they are in the first 11", and that Spurs must find a balance between self-confidence and hunger in training and games. 📊 By the numbers • At Man Utd: drew 1-1 (with 10 men) • Solanke's equaliser: 92nd minute • Days until next game: 9 🔭 Why it matters After spending £300m without a league win, Spurs have faced talk about De Zerbi's future.
