Bayern reportedly discussing Olise deal to 2032 on around €25m salary
Post
📰 Bayern are internally discussing extending Michael Olise's deal to 2032, with a release clause of over €200m a possible sticking point, according to Germany's Sport Bild. Talks have not formally begun.
📌 Key points
🔁 Sport Bild say Bayern are discussing an extension to 2032.
💰 A new deal could reportedly lift his wages to around €25m a year.
🔓 Olise's camp is said to want a fixed release clause.
🇪🇸 Transfer insider Ekrem Konur links the request to Real Madrid.
🗣️ Max Eberl has stressed there is no buyout in the current deal.
📝 What happened
🔁 Sport Bild reported that an extension tying Michael Olise to Bayern until 2032 was being discussed internally. His current deal runs until 2029, and a new contract could reportedly raise his salary to around €25m a year, putting him among the club's top earners.
🔓 The release clause is the crux. Olise and his agents reportedly want a fixed buyout figure, and transfer insider Ekrem Konur said the request was made with a possible move to Real Madrid in mind. Sport Bild felt a clause of more than €200m would be realistic if he signs until 2032.
🗣️ Sporting director Max Eberl told Sport Bild that Olise has no fixed exit option in his current contract. He added that the club should know by next summer whether the player is inclined to extend.
🧩 According to FCBinside, Bayern plan to wrap up Harry Kane's renewal, which is nearing completion, before turning to Olise. Kane and Jamal Musiala are both reported to have buyout clauses in their deals, so there is precedent.
📊 By the numbers
• Current deal expires: 2029
• Proposed extension: to 2032
• Reported salary: around €25m a year
• Mooted release clause: over €200m (his Palace clause in 2024 was €53m)
🔭 Why it matters
Olise arrived from Crystal Palace in 2024 when Bayern triggered a €53m release clause. Agreeing another clause would keep a route open for a club like Real Madrid, so Bayern must weigh securing him long term against giving rivals a set price.
Eberl's own deadline is next summer. Once Kane's new deal is announced, talks with Olise are expected to step up.
