✅ Korea beat Uzbekistan 2-0 to finish the four-match run.
📝 What happened
⚽ Korea drew 0-0 with Venezuela at Ulsan Munsu Stadium on 2 October. According to SPOTV News, it was such a frustrating game that the team failed to register a single shot in the first 30 minutes.
😢 Standing in the mixed zone after the match, Hwang In-beom (Porto) let out a deep sigh and was in tears. He said that in his ninth year with the national team, the things that need to change still are not changing, and that he was struggling both physically and mentally.
🏛️ Hwang said that with the KFA presidency vacant and the coach only there on an interim basis, there is no one to help the players. His point was that even though the problems are visible, they are hard to solve through the players' efforts alone. He said he had played that day with some muscle discomfort, though it was not an injury. Kim Min-jae also spoke out after being substituted, saying the team had to play as one to get results.
✅ Korea beat Uzbekistan 2-0 at Yongin Mireu Stadium on the 6th. Son Heung-min scored a 6th-minute free-kick for his 59th international goal, becoming the outright record scorer for the Korean men's national team. Hwang In-beom, who came on at the start of the second half alongside Song Min-kyu, passed to Song in the 60th minute, and Oh Se-hun headed in Song's cross.
📊 By the numbers
• Moreno's four games: Ecuador 3-0 W, Uruguay 1-4 L, Venezuela 0-0, Uzbekistan 2-0 W

🔭 Why it matters
It is unusual for the core of the national team's midfield to publicly point to an administrative vacuum. The win over Uzbekistan has eased the mood, but the fundamental tasks of electing a KFA president and appointing a permanent coach remain.
After the match Moreno said that for the next camp he would pick players on performance rather than reputation (Money Today). The national team play two friendlies in November, after which the coach to lead them at the Asian Cup will be decided.
