Raphinha still training alone and a doubt for Barcelona v Getafe
Post
📰 Barcelona have all their internationals back, but Raphinha is still training on his own and is a doubt for Getafe.
📌 Key points
🩹 Raphinha has a muscle oedema in his right thigh from Brazil duty.
🏃 He again trained apart from the group on 8 October.
🔁 Six Spain players, Gordon and Livaković all returned the same day.
🪑 Local media expect him to start on the bench against Getafe.
🏥 Defender Andreas Christensen remains out injured.
📝 What happened
🩹 Raphinha picked up a muscle oedema in his right thigh while playing for Brazil during the international break. Barcelona's tests had ruled out a significant injury, but he has yet to rejoin full training.
🏃 According to the EFE agency, Raphinha was still working at a different pace from his teammates at the Ciutat Esportiva on 8 October. COPE lists him as a doubt for Saturday's match against Getafe.
🔁 The same day, Spain internationals Pau Cubarsí, Rodri, Pedri, Fermín López, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal returned, along with Anthony Gordon and Dominik Livaković, giving Hansi Flick his full group of internationals back.
🪑 Citing AS, Barca Universal reports that with a packed October schedule, Flick is expected to start Raphinha on the bench rather than risk him.
📊 By the numbers
• Spain internationals back on 8 October: 6
• Barcelona's league record before the break: seven wins from seven
• Getafe kick-off: 6.30pm CEST, 10 October
🔭 Why it matters
Raphinha was LaLiga's Player of the Month for September and is central to Barcelona's attack. If he misses out or starts on the bench, Flick's front line will change as Barcelona chase an eighth straight league win. Flick will give the final word at his press conference after Friday's last training session.
Barcelona host Getafe at 6.30pm CEST on Saturday 10 October.
