Barcelona beat Getafe 3-0 for nine straight wins, a club-first start

📰 Barcelona beat Getafe 3-0 to win their first nine games in all competitions for the first time in the club's history. 📌 Key points ⚡ Anthony Gordon scored his first Barcelona goal after two minutes. 🇧🇷 Gabriel Jesus, on his first start, added the second on 30 minutes. 🎯 Jules Koundé made it 3-0 on 73 minutes from Lamine Yamal's cross. 🏆 Nine straight wins from the start of a season is a Barça first. 📈 Eight from eight in LaLiga leaves them five points clear of Atlético. 📝 What happened ⚡ Gordon needed just 78 seconds, barging past three players before a low, deflected shot went in. Fresh from scoring for England during the break, he said he always knew his first goal would come at Camp Nou. 🇧🇷 With Raphinha out with a thigh problem, Jesus led the line on his first start for the club and pounced on a Getafe error on 30 minutes. Koundé then finished Yamal's corner with his left foot. Hansi Flick made seven changes from the Sevilla game. 💬 Flick said it is never easy coming back after a three-week break and that the early goal gave his side confidence. He said Gordon is "doing very well", that Jesus is different from Raphinha but "showed his quality", and called Koundé "100% professional". 🎖️ Gerard Martín made his 100th first-team appearance. 📊 By the numbers • LaLiga: P8 W8, 24 points • League goals: 34 scored, 7 conceded • Nine straight wins in all competitions: a club first • Eight league wins from the start: only the second time, after 2013-14 🔭 Why it matters Even without top scorer Raphinha, Gordon and Jesus kept the run going. Barça face Galatasaray in the Champions League on 13 October and PSG in Paris on 20 October before hosting Real Madrid in the Clásico on 25 October.
