Leaders PSG travel to bottom side Le Havre without four key starters

📰 Ligue 1 leaders PSG head to bottom side Le Havre on 30 October without four first-team regulars. 📌 Key points 🏟️ PSG play at Le Havre at 7pm on Friday 30 October. 🩹 Dembélé and Marquinhos are out for weeks with thigh injuries. 🦵 Kvaratskhelia has had surgery on a ruptured ACL. 🛒 Luis Enrique says injuries are no reason to sign players. 📉 Le Havre are bottom with two points from eight games. 📝 What happened 🏆 PSG beat Lyon 2-0 on 26 October to go top on 17 points. Rennes are one point behind, so dropping points at Le Havre would put first place at risk straight away. 🩹 The injury list is the problem. Dembélé (left thigh) and Marquinhos (right thigh) both picked up muscle injuries in the 4-2 win over Barcelona on 20 October and are expected to miss several weeks, while Nuno Mendes also misses the trip. 🦵 Kvaratskhelia ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the same game. He has had surgery at Aspetar in Doha and started rehabilitation, with no return date set and an absence measured in months. 🛒 Luis Enrique said an injury does not mean new players have to be signed, though the club remains open to opportunities. RMC reported that PSG will not make a January offer for Leverkusen's 20-year-old Ibrahim Maza, who had been linked as a replacement. 📊 By the numbers • PSG 17 points (1st) v Le Havre 2 points (18th) • Four regulars out: Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos, Mendes • Maza valued at around €50m; 3 goals and 3 assists in 10 games this season 👀 What to watch ⚡ Godts on the left — Mika Godts, who came off the bench to score against Lyon, is the obvious candidate to fill Kvaratskhelia's role. 🧱 A defence without Marquinhos — how the reshuffled centre-back pairing handles Le Havre's counter-attacks. 😤 Le Havre's fight — they were well beaten at Marseille on 25 October but still fought back late to lose only 4-3. 🔭 Why it matters This is the first real test of Luis Enrique's stance that PSG can cope without signings while Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé are both out. PSG face Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday 3 November.
