📰 INEOS, the company of Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are selling Swiss club Lausanne-Sport. 📌 Key points 🏷️ The Athletic reports that INEOS have put Lausanne-Sport up for sale. 📄 A five-page prospectus titled 'Project Striker' has gone to buyers. 🙈 It leaves out expected £5m losses and Lausanne's bottom place. 💸 INEOS debts have reached £18bn. 📣 United fans chanted at INEOS to sell up during the Bournemouth defeat. 📝 What happened 🏷️ According to The Athletic, as reported by Inside World Football, INEOS have hired Alvarez & Marsal to run the sale of Lausanne-Sport. A five-page document called 'Project Striker' has been sent to potential buyers. INEOS declined to comment. 📄 The prospectus calls Lausanne 'an established top-flight contender' in a 12-team league and highlights 'an asset-light model'. The club, however, rents its stadium and training ground from the local council. It does not mention expected losses of £5m this season or that Lausanne are bottom of the league. 💸 INEOS bought Lausanne in November 2017. Relegation would be the club's third under INEOS. The company's debts have reached £18bn, and it has also put OGC Nice on the market, cutting its asking price from €250m. 📣 According to Football365, United supporters chanted at INEOS to sell the club and leave during the 3-0 home defeat by Bournemouth on 25 October. Ratcliffe owns nearly 29% of United and runs football operations there. 📊 By the numbers • INEOS debts: £18bn • Lausanne's expected losses this season: £5m • Nice's original asking price: €250m • Ratcliffe's stake in United: nearly 29% 🔭 Why it matters INEOS are clearly scaling back their football interests outside United. United visit Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 31 October.
