Liverpool reportedly keep tabs on Tchouaméni despite his deal to 2031

📰 Liverpool are said to be keeping in touch with Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni's camp. The report comes from a lower-reliability outlet and nothing is confirmed. 📌 Key points 📰 TEAMtalk says Liverpool have kept lines open with Tchouaméni's representatives. ✍️ He signed a new long-term deal with Madrid running to 2031. 🩹 After an early-season injury he has made three LaLiga appearances. 💰 The €80m figure was his 2022 transfer fee to Madrid. 🧢 Other reports say Mourinho plans to build around him. 📝 What happened 📰 TEAMtalk's Graeme Bailey reported in late September that Liverpool have stayed in contact with the player's camp, but there is no active push to arrange a transfer. ✍️ Tchouaméni extended his Madrid contract to 2031 in July, according to AS. The 26-year-old has won eight trophies at the club, including the Champions League and LaLiga. 🩹 A muscle injury cost him the start of the season. He has since played three LaLiga games and one in the Champions League, including 86 minutes against Elche. 🧢 A separate TEAMtalk piece said Mourinho intends to give him regular starts, meaning Liverpool's chance would only come if his status changes. 📊 By the numbers • Contract: until 2031 • This season: three LaLiga games, one Champions League game • 2022 transfer fee: €80m 🔭 Why it matters Liverpool are still assessing defensive-midfield options, but with a fresh contract and the manager's backing, a move looks unlikely for now.
