Mazraoui and Dorgu hurt on international duty as United injuries mount

📰 Mazraoui, Bruno and Dorgu all ran into problems during the international break, adding to Manchester United's growing injury list. 📌 Key points 🩹 Mazraoui was substituted with an injury during Morocco's game against Lesotho 🧢 Bruno sat out the Norway game with pain he had carried from club duty 🔁 Dorgu came off after 30 minutes against Wales for Denmark with a suspected hamstring problem 🏥 Rashford, Mainoo and others also withdrew from international squads 🗓️ United host Tottenham on 10 October 📝 What happened 🩹 Noussair Mazraoui went down after a tangle with an opponent in the 69th minute of Morocco's 2-0 win over Lesotho and was replaced by Hakimi. United officially confirmed he had been taken off injured. However, there were also reports that he travelled for the subsequent game against Mali, so it may not be serious. 🧢 Captain Bruno Fernandes did not feature in Portugal's 2-1 win over Norway. Portugal coach Jorge Jesus said Bruno had been playing through pain for his last three games and had been rested ahead of the Denmark game. 🔁 Patrick Dorgu was substituted with a hamstring issue in the 30th minute of Denmark's 2-0 win over Wales, and returned to Carrington for detailed tests. According to Yahoo Sports, Rashford and Mainoo also pulled out of the England squad, while Šeško, Amad, de Ligt and Ugarte were already sidelined. 🗣️ Former United scout Mick Brown questioned the decision to let Bruno go on international duty in the first place, suggesting the club should share the blame. 📊 By the numbers • Morocco 2-0 Lesotho / Portugal 2-1 Norway / Denmark 2-0 Wales • Dorgu substituted: 30th minute • United's league record: 5 points from 5 games 🔭 Why it matters The break has turned into a string of setbacks rather than a chance to recover. After a poor start to the season, Carrick badly needs a response against Tottenham at Old Trafford on 10 October, and the condition of his captain and full-back options is likely to shape his starting line-up.
