What remains are details such as the length of the contract, a buyout clause and Tottenham's matching rights. Romano expects a full agreement soon. 🗓️ On 5 October Goal.com, citing Sky Germany and Romano, reported that Kane has agreed in principle to extend his contract until 2029. However, performance-related clauses are still being worked out and nothing has been signed. Kane's current deal runs until summer 2027. 🔴 According to Football365, Man Utd co-owner Jim Ratcliffe was said, in reports last July and August, to be strongly interested in signing Kane in 2027. It was also noted that Kane left Tottenham with 213 Premier League goals and could challenge Alan Shearer's record of 260. 📈 Kane continues to rack up records at Bayern. In September he reached 100 Bundesliga goals in just 98 games, the fewest ever. 📊 By the numbers • Kane's age: 33 • Current contract: until summer 2027 (Football365) • Reported new deal: until 2029 (Sky Germany report) • 100 Bundesliga goals reached in 98 games, the fewest ever 🔭 Why it matters It is still at the reporting stage rather than an official announcement, but several outlets are pointing in the same direction. If the renewal is confirmed, Kane's return to the Premier League and a tilt at Shearer's record are likely to be put off until at least 2029. Man Utd may have to look at other striker options.
