📝 What happened
⚖️ According to the Daily Mail, Caicedo appeared at Crawley magistrates' court this week and was convicted of driving without a valid licence or insurance. He received eight penalty points and a £1,444 fine.
🚗 He was stopped in April 2025 near Chelsea's Cobham training ground while driving a £160,000 Audi RSQ8, which was seized.
📄 The court ordered him to obtain proper documentation before driving again. Chelsea described the incident at the time as a personal matter.
🩹 The off-field setback comes on top of injury. A persistent calf problem has restricted him to 14 minutes under Xabi Alonso this season, and he was left out of Ecuador's squad to aid his recovery.
