Yoro wins all nine duels on full France debut as Zidane praises him

📰 Manchester United's Leny Yoro won all nine of his duels on his senior France debut as Les Bleus came from behind to beat Belgium 4-1. 📌 Key points 🇫🇷 Yoro made his senior France debut against Belgium. ⏱️ He played the full 90 minutes at the heart of the defence. 💪 He won all four ground duels and all five aerial duels. 🗣️ Zinedine Zidane said he did his job very well. 🔴 A welcome boost for a player short of minutes at United. 📝 What happened 🏟️ France beat Belgium 4-1 in the Nations League at the Stade de France on 5 October. They fell behind early to a Dodi Lukebakio goal before scoring four in a row. 🛡️ Yoro started alongside Chelsea's Maxence Lacroix. Up against Romelu Lukaku, he won all nine of his duels, completed 93% of his passes and had 96 touches. 🗣️ Yoro said he could not have asked for anything better than a home match against Belgium with his family watching. Zidane added that he had a great game and that he was very happy for him. 🔴 Yoro has not played much for United this season. The question now is whether his composure for France changes Michael Carrick's thinking. 📊 By the numbers • 9 of 9 duels won (4 ground, 5 aerial) • 93% pass accuracy • 96 touches • France 4-1 Belgium 🔭 Why it matters Matthijs de Ligt is not fully back yet and United picked up more defensive injuries over the break. If Yoro carries this confidence back to Carrington, it could ease Carrick's selection headaches. United host Tottenham in the league on 10 October, then face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on 13 October.
