Spurs and Villa reportedly keen on Kim, but Bayern won't sell in Jan

📰 British reports claim Tottenham and Aston Villa are targeting Kim Min-jae, but there are counter-claims that Bayern are reluctant to sell in January. 📌 Key points 🔎 TEAMtalk reports that Tottenham and Villa are monitoring Kim Min-jae. 💰 Bayern's asking price is reportedly around £30m. 🚫 Football Insider sees a January sale as unlikely. 🧢 He has slipped down the pecking order behind the Upamecano-Tah partnership. 🗓️ Most analysis points to next summer as the realistic window for a move. 📝 What happened 🔎 According to a TEAMtalk report cited by HardTackle, Bayern could consider selling Kim Min-jae if a suitable offer arrives. Aston Villa and Tottenham were named as interested clubs, with AC Milan and Juventus also said to be keeping an eye on the situation. However, no formal offers were made in previous transfer windows. 🧢 Kim, 29, has fallen behind Upamecano and Jonathan Tah under Kompany. Sports Mole and others report that he has started only two of Bayern's five competitive games this season. 🚫 Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke, on the other hand, said Bayern do not want to weaken their squad mid-season and will not accept a January move. Kompany also reportedly wants to keep Kim as Bayern compete for the Bundesliga and Champions League. 🗣️ Kim himself is said to be happy with his current role and not actively pushing for a move. He is also reported to have previously turned down interest from Villa and Nottingham Forest. 📊 By the numbers • Reported valuation: around £30m (TEAMtalk) • Contract: until 2028 • This season: 5 appearances, 399 minutes (Football Insider) • Last season: 37 appearances, 2,051 minutes 🔭 Why it matters What the reports have in common is that next summer is more realistic than January. A move is not imminent, and whether Bayern can secure a replacement centre-back is seen as the key factor. How hot the transfer talk gets will depend on whether Kim's minutes increase from here.
