De Bruyne double and McTominay return as Napoli beat Frosinone 3-0

📰 Kevin De Bruyne's double and Scott McTominay's return lifted Napoli to a 3-0 win over Frosinone. 📌 Key points ⚽ De Bruyne scored twice: a penalty and a stoppage-time goal. 🔁 Højlund's penalty was saved, but a retake was ordered as the keeper moved early. 🇳🇱 Noa Lang added a second on 32 minutes. 💚 McTominay, back after a heart procedure, came off the bench on 61 minutes. 📈 Napoli are on 10 points, level with Juventus, Como and Frosinone. 📝 What happened 🎯 Napoli hosted Frosinone at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 10 October. Højlund was brought down by Cittadini on 25 minutes, but his penalty was saved by Palmisani. The kick was retaken because the goalkeeper had moved early, and De Bruyne converted on 29 minutes. ⚡ Three minutes later Lang made it 2-0. De Bruyne completed a 3-0 win in the fourth minute of stoppage time, set up by Giovane. 💚 The loudest cheer was for McTominay. Cleared to play a month after a heart procedure, he came on on 61 minutes. Allegri had said before the game that he was "not yet at 100%". 🗣️ Allegri said "matches must be won on the pitch", admitting Napoli had dropped points through their own mistakes. 📊 By the numbers • Score: Napoli 3-0 Frosinone • De Bruyne: 2 goals (29' pen, 90+4') • McTominay on: 61 minutes • Napoli points: 7 → 10 🔭 Why it matters Napoli had taken seven points from five games, their worst start since 2015-16, piling pressure on Allegri. This win and McTominay's return offer a platform for a recovery, but they remain six points behind leaders Inter and Lazio (16).
