Real reportedly push to extend Bellingham to 2031 on €30m-plus a year
Post
📰 Reports continue to suggest Real Madrid are making progress in contract talks with Bellingham and are pushing for an extension until 2031. There has been no official announcement from the club yet.
📌 Key points
🔁 Real are reported to be discussing an extension with Bellingham until at least 2031.
💰 TEAMtalk says his salary could rise by around 50% to more than €30m.
👑 Top-tier terms on a par with Mbappé and Vinícius are being mentioned.
🗓️ The club reportedly hope to finalise an agreement within 2026.
⚠️ Neither the club nor the player's camp has officially confirmed anything.
📝 What happened
🔁 Football365, citing TEAMtalk, reported that Real have made significant progress in talks with Bellingham's camp over a new contract. The proposal under discussion would extend his current deal, which runs until 2029, to at least 2031.
💰 According to TEAMtalk, Bellingham currently earns around €20m a year, which could rise to more than €30m under a new deal. Earlier, in September, Italian journalist Matteo Moretto reported that talks had begun, and Goal.com, citing his report, put the salary at around €48m. With figures varying between outlets, the actual amount needs confirming.
📈 Behind the contract talk is his recent form. According to Goal.com, Bellingham has 2 goals and 3 assists in 4 La Liga games this season, and Football365 noted his outstanding display in England's 7-0 thrashing of Croatia.
🗣️ Reports say Bellingham would like to play in the Premier League one day but has no intention of leaving Real now. Goal.com interpreted the move as Real also wanting to head off interest from Premier League clubs in advance.
📊 By the numbers
• Current contract: until 2029, around €20m a year (TEAMtalk)
• Proposed new deal: until at least 2031, over €30m a year (TEAMtalk)
• La Liga this season: 2 goals, 3 assists in 4 games (Goal.com)
🔭 Why it matters
Bellingham is the heartbeat of Real's midfield and has been touted as a Ballon d'Or contender. Securing an early extension with three years left on his deal would let Real tie down a key player for the long term and silence transfer speculation.
For now, though, these are only reports about the negotiations. It remains to be seen whether a deal is actually signed by the club's year-end target.
