Inter scouting Stuttgart's Jeltsch, €40m valuation, Barça rivals
Post
📰 Inter are reportedly tracking Germany Under-21 defender Finn Jeltsch.
📌 Key points
🔭 Inter have scouted Jeltsch several times over the past year, reports say.
🗣️ They have held multiple talks with his representatives.
💶 Stuttgart want around €40m.
🔵 Barcelona's Hansi Flick reportedly has him as first choice.
🗓️ Inter hope to talk when the clubs meet on 25 November.
📝 What happened
🔭 Football Italia, citing Calciomercato.com and Spain's Sport, say Inter scouts have watched Jeltsch on several occasions over the past year. The club have reportedly also spoken with his agents and representatives several times.
🧱 Jeltsch plays as a centre-back in a back four at Stuttgart, but Inter believe he could play in the middle or on the right of Cristian Chivu's back three.
💶 He earns about €1.3m gross a year at Stuttgart, so better terms would not be a problem for Inter. The bigger hurdle is Stuttgart's asking price of around €40m.
🔵 Sport say Jeltsch is Flick's first choice if Barcelona sign a defender soon. Several other unnamed top European clubs are also interested.
📊 By the numbers
• Age: 20 (born 2006)
• Stuttgart's asking price: around €40m
• Current salary: about €1.3m gross
🔭 Why it matters
This is scouting and talks, not an agreed deal. Inter host Stuttgart at San Siro in the Champions League league phase on 25 November and hope to discuss a move then. Barcelona's interest could push the price higher.
