📰 Substitutes Senny Mayulu and Mika Godts scored late as PSG beat Lyon 2-0 and went top of Ligue 1. 📌 Key points 🔝 PSG beat Lyon 2-0 to go top of Ligue 1. 🔄 Both goals came from substitutes Mayulu and Godts. 🔥 It was an eighth straight win in all competitions and a fifth in the league. 🏥 Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes were all missing. 🚨 The game was moved from Sunday to Monday because of protests in Paris. 📝 What happened 🚓 The match was due on Sunday 25 October, but the league moved it to Monday night at the request of Paris police, whose resources were stretched by protests. Both sides started the night on 14 points. ⏱️ PSG had most of the ball but struggled to break Lyon down. Luis Enrique sent on Mika Godts on 57 minutes, then Senny Mayulu and Lucas Hernandez on 65. ⚽ In the 72nd minute Godts teed up Mayulu, who drove a fierce shot in at the near post. In the 84th, Ndjantou released Godts, whose shot went in off the crossbar. It was the Belgian international's first goal since joining from Ajax. 💬 Luis Enrique dedicated the win to Kvaratskhelia, who tore his ACL in last week's 4-2 win over Barcelona, saying "this victory is for him". On Godts he said: "Mika is an ambitious player with a lot of quality, and he is only 21." 📊 By the numbers • Eight straight wins in all competitions, five in the league (after no wins in the first three league games) • PSG 17 points, Rennes 16, Lille and Monaco 15 • Mayulu 72', Godts 84' (both substitutes) 🔭 Why it matters The champions, who failed to win any of their first three league games, are now top despite missing a string of first-choice forwards. The top six are still separated by only three points. PSG visit bottom side Le Havre on Friday 30 October.
